Ultimate Blog Party

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

5 Minutes for Mom is throwing their 2010 Ultimate Blog Party and we are all invited. Click here to join in on the fun!

This party is a great way to make new friends and find some fun new blogs to read plus you have a chance to win some great prizes!

If you are new here, let me introduce myself. I am Karen and have been married to my amazing husband , Mike for almost 26 years.  We have 10 living children ages 23 down to 4 years old. Yep, they are all ours, and yep, they all belong to both of us!  No yours or mine, just ours!

Our second son Tim was married just this past January to his beautiful bride Naomi. So, I am also a mother-in-law to one so far, and pray for my future daughter's and son's in-law and grandchildren to come someday!

We are a Christian family and we homeschool our children. We currently have 7 children actively schooling as well as our youngest who is preschool age. Our oldest 2 have graduated! We are very involved in our church, and JBQ (Junior Bible Quiz) and TBQ (Teen Bible)  are a big part of our lives.

I started this blog soon after our daughter Faith Evangeline was stillborn on October 28, 2008.  I have found great support and many friends here in the bloggy world.  I originally started blogging to help work through my grief. I have found comfort in reading blogs of others that have walked a similar path. I also blog about everyday family life and other random things. I always want to glorify God in all that I say and do.

You may notice the Pregnancy Prayer List over on the right sidebar. I felt the Lord calling me to pray for Expectant Mommies and their babies. If you or someone you know would like to be added to the list, please leave me a comment or send me an email, with your name and the month of your due date. I would be honored to pray for you.

Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment so I can visit you also!

Here are the prizes I would like to win, of course any from the list would be great especially any of the gift cards or blog makeovers! :)

Grand Prize : Toshiba Satellite L505D-ES5025

I am so impressed that you can homeschool that many at once...wow! I am just getting into the world of homeschooling as my oldest is 4 and I'm still just wondering how it will all work out. Thanks for being a good role model on that one.

I think it's awesome that you are praying for expectant mommies, what a loving way to remember your lovely daughter.

Hope you have a great time at the party this week and meet lots of great bloggers and friends! Stop by and say hi when you get the chance.

Thanks for stopping by and joining my blog through the UBP. It seems as if we have a few things in common (home schooling, Christianity, and loss of a baby). I am becoming a follower of yours and look forward to reading your blog often.

It is so nice to meet you. You are such a blessing by taking something so heart wrenching as loosing a child and using that to see how God can use you in the situation. Thank you for that I know you have been a blessing to many pregnant woman out there by praying for them and encouraging to the ones that have lost their babies.

So glad I stopped by. I found your comment on another blog I was visiting and came by!

We too have lost a baby - he was deemed a neo-natal death. In March 2004.

I am currently expecting our 7th baby (6th living, Lord Willing!)

Happy Partying!

Hi~
I wanted to say hello and that I've really enjoyed reading your blog. I think it is wonderful that you have a pregnancy prayer list. We are expecting a baby again after 2 losses--our last one at 16 wks. We are due in the fall with our 8th baby if everything goes well. Anyway, thank you for this list. Any prayers would be so appreciated for a healthy pregnancy:) Thank you!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
