Strength

I have really needed the Lord's Strength today. Not that I haven't needed it everyday of my life.

For some reason I woke up in some kind of funk today. I am sure it doesn't help that some of the children have been having a bad cough. Micah, our youngest has also been running a fever yesterday and today. I do not have a cough, but I do not feel all that great either. My sinuses are a mess.

I am not motivated to do anything. I would just like to crawl into my bed and put the covers over my head. That does not work too well around here. There are too many people that depend on me to be functioning. I need to function. So I will draw my Strength from the Lord.

I pray that I will wake up tomorrow with a better attitude!  Soaring like an eagle would be awesome, but maybe I can just walk and not faint!

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

I hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Today was pretty good until my hubby came home. Then it just went downhill quickly.

Thank you for that post I definitely needed it. My husband is turning his back on Christianity and I'm at a loss for what to say or do. I need to feel and rely on the Lord's strength now more than ever.

Hope you feel better soon, Karen. Dear Lord, lift up my sister Karen. Gird her with your presence and fill her with peace. Let her mind rest in lovely, virtuous and praiseworthy thoughts. Help her sleep be sweet. Lift her burdens, each one, small and large. You know them. You intimately know her heart, her hopes, and her needs like no one else. Walk alongside her tomorrow as she ministers grace to her family. In Christ's name.

Karen,

I have missed sharing with you! Gosh...I am swamped these days! Are you feeling better? I hope so. I can relate to the funk thing. However, mine is from exhaustion. Our homeschooling is really suffering right now. At least it seems like it to me. Then again, His grace is always enough...right? I am just hoping that the children are getting what they need in this season. Love you my friend...I think of you often.

Also, my friend Nancy had her baby boy Maxwell a couple of days ago. She is on your prayer list! He is healthy and beautiful. Mom and baby are doing fine. Thanks to all who lifted this precious mom to the Lord.

Hi Aunt Karen! I hope you feel better soon! I was wondering if you could keep my friends Mike and Katie Eaton in your prayers. Katie found out in Jan that she was pregnant with her third child. This week on monday she miscarried. They named the baby Prudence since their younger daughter thought they were having a girl. She seems to be doing well they are just dissapointed and hurt. She does believe that God took her for a reason and is trusting in him. Prayer for peace and comfort will do them both good! Thanks xoxo
